1. LOL...
For some odd reason your headline reminded me of a childhood memory....kid down the street wanted to surprise his father and wash his car. He was using steel wool on the bumpers and saw how clean they became so continued to use it on the rest of the car. :wow:

4. There are some low bridges where people have installed cams,
just to watch these SNAFU fails.

Ergo, WTF? After the third time, just fix it already, stupid humans.

5. I once lived near a bridge that truckers came upon suddenly
You'd come around a bend and there it was at the bottom of this small hill. It was tall enough, but an optical illusion of sorts, or maybe just its sudden appearance, made it seem much shorter than it was.

The skid marks were a thing to behold. The place often reeked of hot brakes.

I swear the rubber laid on the road there was an inch and a half thick in places.

10. Storrow Drive, Boston. Plenty of signs. No attention paid.
Every few weeks we hear of a truck stuck on Storrow Drive. U-Haul trucks, especially at move-in time for students. No-one either reads or believes the signs.

I bet there is not a spot on the map that does not warn drivers. I guess we choose not to believe that the bridge is too low. I think a driver should be fined if he does not know that his rig will not fit under the bridge. We pay for the repair. Signs are everywhere.
