I'm back on the computer and on line! A freaking week with no brain (all info is stored on machine or disks) and I wasn't even traveling!
aaaahhhhhh! big font, full size keyboard, no stupid clicking "down page" to read more than a few sentences (from the son's cell phone - that he conveniently LOST on Tuesday!:eyes: )
so how is everybody? :hi:

3. If you don't replace the thermal paste on your processor soon |
|
you risk damage because the heat won't be able to transfer away from the processor and into the heat sink, and this can fry the processor. But you need to wipe the old stuff off completely first, and then reapply a tiny amount (grain of rice size) of fresh stuff (try Arctic Silver or similar) and carefully replace heat sink.

so that thing is the processor? I never knew where that was. Got some good "learnin'" today!
why does the little receptacle for the pins have a lever that moves it back and forth? (or NOW I can google and go looking for answers!!! woohooo!)

7. The lever locks the pins tightly into their holes |
|
so make sure it's in the "open" position when you carefully lay the processor onto the holder, and make sure all the pins are in their holes and aligned before you pull the lever to clamp them in.
