Saw "Insidious" tonight, it's a decent horror movie (Potential SPOILERS)
The gist of the movie is a boy falls into something like a coma and then bad things start to happen in the house when the boy is brought back home, still in the coma-like state (I won't reveal what it really is).

It's made by the same people that did Paranormal Activity and Saw and the first part of the movie is very much like PA. Don't worry, it's not shot like PA, as in a first person hand held camera view. It's shot like a regular movie. However, like PA, the first part is very atmospheric, creating an overwhelming sense of dread as things go bump in the house.

Unlike Paranormal Activity, you see the things that go bump in the night, faces in windows, etc. BUT, like most horror movies, when the ghosts and demons get lots of screen time, they lose their scariness and so the climatic scenes weren't all that scary.

It's a decent movie, though with a good twist at the end. I correctly predicted there would be one, but they took it in an unexpected direction, so the ending was pretty good.

Overall, it's a horror movie that needs to be seen in the theater, so you get the audience participation (screaming, laughing, etc), everyone had a good time. I may see it again just to try to see if I can figure out how the twist happened.
