It's kinda cute. Obviously aimed at 18 year olds who might be considering Yale. Nice singing and dancing...

2. You know, it's sappy but I can see my teenaged granddaughter loving it.
But when you look at its choice of things to talk about, it's all about salad bars, hanging out, exercising...stuff kids think about a LOT.

Harvard made a spoof of this video (it's on YouTube right next to this one) but it falls flat. I don't think you can make a spoof of something that is a parody of itself...

3. It reached its marketing goals perfectly. Showing the facilities, i.e. gym,
library and the buildings and campus in general. They hit on the Dean, Advisors, etc. and the foodie stuff. It sold me, now as to tuition I dare not speculate..LOL..

7. Princeton has a beautiful campus. I really don't know why Steven Spielberg shot
his last Indiana Jones movie around Yale. Princeton looks far more "Ivy" altho around the Old Campus Yale does have some nice buildings. Mostly, the residential colleges are quite nice...old, but nice...

9. When Spielberg was shooting that movie in 07 I remember the traffic got so
snarled up downtown that the city was practically immobilized. I was recovering from surgery at the time and got stuck downtown waiting for a cab to take me home from a doctor's appt. A 20 minute trip of only 5 miles took over an hour...

Forwarded it to him.

5. Yale has a great Drama School and Music School as you can see by the talent
they employed in this video.

Those Master's Teas can be fabulous. Meryl Streep did one not too long ago and needless to say it was SRO (they really do sit around the living room of the Master's house for them!). Arianna Huffington, whose daughter Christina in in her Junior Year at Yale, came and spoke at the Yale Political Union last year. Brian Williams' daughter is there (hence his appearance at a Master's Tea). So they get really good people. I've attended a couple of the Law School talks also --- Doris Kearns Goodwin and the late Lloyd Cutler...

and one in Greenwich (he said his, Timothy Dwight, was closest to France, meaning the closest to the LI Sound!). One that I remember was in Jonathan Edwards...

Did you know that the Co-op is no more? Replaced by Barnes and Noble at Yale. Also, the York Square Theatre is shuttered and the Yankee Doodle is no more! Desperate fundraising has revived (temporarily) Morly's (sp?) and the Whiffs are once again singing there on Monday nights!

The Yale Bowl has been renovated after years of neglect. It's new and nice now, but not with much verve. Do you think Yale can EVER beat Harvard again? Yale's at home this year for The Game...
