5. My grandma was
There was 2 painters, one took several episodes to finish 1 painting and I believe Ross is the guy who finished a painting in one episode. She would paint while watching him. I have a painting from my Grandma in my home.

6. He learned the Wet on Wet technique from Bill Alexander...
who's TV show didn't catch on like Bob Ross'. Ross also copied his talking style.

8. When I Was Recovering...
from knee surgery, and in excruciating pain, his voice was so soothing! Our local PBS station aired 2 hour blocks of his show and I would lie there, half asleep, half awake and just drift along.

His work was awesome, I'd love to own one!

Very relaxing, very enjoyable...

Until he took his beautiful landscape and stuck a poorly rendered cabin in it....

That always pissed me off.

one thing the internet did for me was let me know I was not the only person who had zero interest in painting yet taped his show on my VCR because listening to his voice was better than valium for putting my third shift working ass to sleep - gawd, he was AWESOME
