Listen to me on your iPod!

Every once in a while, I share some of my songs here. Kindly, those who don’t like it have ignored me, and generously, a few people have been very appreciative and a couple have even asked if there’s a way they can download my songs. It’s totally amazing to me that anyone would want to put me on their mp3 player. Even though I don’t play anymore, I am still an artist and it’s every artist’s deepest desire to have their work heard, seen or experienced.

So I just uploaded a bunch of stuff onto a site where it can be downloaded.

These are all 4-track recordings. Some are very old and there is tape hiss. My husband says that’s part of their charm, but…he’s my husband.

I have a lot more missing music that I’m going to search for. I’ll add things as I find them.

If you want to share feedback, I totally welcome it, although I no longer write, perform or record. If you want to know any lyrics, I’m thrilled to share.

I just found my last copy of an old CD with a bunch of songs I can barely remember and it's all warped and won't play.

Are you the guitar player, as well as the singer? I like the sound. And I hear other instruments in there, was this a band?

Can you put lyrics on that download site? Sheet music? Tablature? Pictures of bar napkins with scribbled chord notes?

It's just generally amazing to me that people can sit down and create new music.

I probably can go back and put lyrics. I don't write or read music and all my chords are made up. I sing, I wrote the songs and I play guitar, but on the top half of the songs I posted, there's a much better guitar player who plays lead guitar.

Is there one in particular you'd like the words to?

10. I stopped enjoying playing gigs.

I also was looking to get out of bartending. I wanted a career with a salary and benefits and regular hours. I wanted to start a family. I was just done. And then I was just busy.

and in my present state of being both old and sleepy, I didn't figure out how to get to listen to these, but I'll figure it out hopefully, when I'm more awake, and I'm sure they'll be of at least as high a quality as the stuff I've already heard.
P.S. Be looking for a PM from me some time in the next few weeks; the moment I get the official "It's Flunk Day" email, just to let you know, so that you and your husband can spend the day in true flunk day fashion, i.e. in stupid and pointless hedonism (welcome to my world,LOL) .
