Can someone explain the "unshaved look"...to me..please..

I have seen billboards where the guy has a two days beard growth on..

Why?...I notice that this is not just billboards, but some stars are going on tv with two days beard..
What is this???? I am 65 ..don't understand..thanks.

sex is not just visual, well, i'm a woman, maybe it is just visual for some men or so they claim, but for a woman...a man with stubble is a man who is painful to kiss and touch his face

it's a hostile thing, really, the guy is basically saying fuck you, he doesn't care what you feel or if it feels good to you

maybe it is a good thing, it warns you the guy is a narcisstic jerk and it is good to have those types labeled so you can run for your life.

He says it makes him look like Robert de Niro. And then I noticed that many many men in that age range are doing exactly the same thing. Hair cut, but not close. Two day growth or more. Same shoes. Same black man purse. Same umbrella. Same jeans and jacket style.

So I guess it's a fad.

I don't shave every day by any means. I do masonry, carpentry, drywall and more, all jobs that make you dirty. So I don't change my pants every day either. (everything else though) I shower every day, brush my teeth everyday, but I like construction for the reason that you are judged by your ability and not whether you shaved or wear a suit.

a nice soft grown-out beard is fine, clean shaven is fine but the slob look...leave it to the drug addicts is my opinion

and another pioneer of this was Clint Eastwood. Before him, stubble was a widely-used indicator of evil; the equivalent of a neon sign saying "I'm the villain" flashing above the villain's head. He made it a symbol of the rough-edged-but-with-a-heart-of-gold good guy hero.

I'm another one of those guys whose neck gets shredded by shaving too often. Even with the five-blade-vibrating-gel-relasing-flexible-head-$25-a-box razor heads and super-uber-ultra-hydrating shaving cream, I still get eaten alive. The best solution I've ever been able to reach is to shave once a week. That way it's only painful and ugly for one day.

I just hate shaving period. I have a new electric now and have been going at least every other day, especially now that my beard comes in *white*, not even gray, grrr. I used to do the couple days stubble, but again, just because I hate shaving, not because of trying to go for some "look".
