2. My boss and her husband took a vacation to DC last weekend
her husband is a fan of the show DC Cupcakes and stood in line for 45 minutes to buy some. 45 minutes!!!

I have to say, here in Burbank we have the best cupcake place- it's called Yummy Cupcakes!

4. Think that's dumb? Check this out:
http://www.newsweek.com/2009/09/23/let-them-eat-cupcakes.html

At the Johnny Cupcakes stores in Los Angeles, Boston, and Hull, Mass., you can buy cupcake-emblazoned T shirts. You can buy MAKE CUPCAKES NOT WAR stickers. You can buy skull-and-crossbones-style earrings, with cupcakes instead of skulls. What you can't buy are cupcakes. Johnny Cupcakes is selling the idea of cupcakes—cupcakes as hip postmodern signifier. You might say it's selling cupcakism.

5. I hear THAT!!
Have you ever been to the website "Food Network Humor"? A rant about cupcakes was posted recently, had me laughing my head off. I think, with your enlightened view of the topic, that you will appreciate this view as well. :hi:

6. yeah, it's weird
especially because I kind of thought the cupcake trend peaked a couple of years ago, before any of these shows came on ...
