Live Nude Sex Demo in LA
Edited on Sat Apr-09-11 08:38 AM by tomm2thumbs

Uh, okay, now this isn't a Craigslist posting bwahahahaha - a legit story about a class taught in an Illinois university!

Apparently this actual rehashing of a controversial Northwestern University 'Kinky People' Seminar that happened at Illinois Professor J. Michael Bailey's human sexuality class on February 21st. (Read the story behind this demo from the Daily Beast article)

http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2011-03-03/the-story-behind-northwestern-universitys-live-sex-class/#

excerpt: Update: Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro said Thursday that he was "troubled and disappointed" after hearing about the sex toy incident—and that Northwestern would be launching an investigation into it. “I feel it represented extremely poor judgment on the part of our faculty member,” he said in a statement. On Saturday morning, the professor behind the controversial class issued his own apology stating that he regrets allowing the controversial demonstration, and that "In the 18 years I have taught this course, nothing like the demonstration at issue has occurred, and I will allow nothing like it to happen again."

Notice on the event itself in the LA Weekly:

http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2011/04/sex_toy_demo_angeles.php

excerpt: We're offering a first-hand look at what actually happened, under all the controversy. The use of the toy live in Chicago was framed by a broader discussion of what the toy was used for, and how the people demonstrating it felt about doing so. It was a legitimate example of a kinky toy used within the logic of a kink lifestyle. Seeing everything in context will make the educational value of what took place very clear.

I guess the big shock-shock is the device they are talking about – apparently a reciprocating saw with a sex toy at the end rather than a cutting blade – there's a pic at the xbiz link in the LA Weekly article (above) but I won't repost it here.

The re-creation is happening today, Saturday, April 9 at a Los Angeles retail boutique and showroom, running 4-7 pm

* No guessing Bailey’s class was one of the most popular on Northwestern University's campus. Folks in LA are having to shell out 20 bucks a pop to see the re-creation - and they won't even get course credit for it.
