1. I don't know why, but that video reminded me of this...
This is a medley -- which includes "Gypsy Woman" -- from a Curtis Mayfield tribute I'd seen on tv years ago that I loved:

2. Curtis never really got the recognition he deserved in his lifetime...
...the version I always knew of "Gypsy Woman" was Hyland's...it wasn't until years later that I knew it came from Curtis and the Impressions.

The "Superfly" soundtrack was huge, I guess, but there is so much more Mayfield music that people should have heard.
