The... GUESTLIST for... the... NEW... Willam Shatner... ALBUM.. is... un... be... liev... ABLE...
William Shatner is prepping his third album, Searching for Major Tom, a collection of '70s and '80s rock covers due later this year. Members of the Strokes, the Kinks, Yes, Deep Purple, as well as Peter Frampton and Bootsy Collins, will appear on the album. No stranger to musical collaborations, Shatner previously worked with Ben Folds, Henry Rollins and Brad Paisley (who's also been tapped for Tom) on his last album, 2004's Has Been.

3. Well, that should be one powerful emetic
I hope that Howe, Moraz, Gottsching, Froese, Blackmore, Hillage et al (all of whom I have immense respect for as musicians) are (1) well compensated and (2) in on the joke.

6. The Twilight Zone episode changed my life...
...when I was a kid, "horror films" were basically the old black & white Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, etc. movies.

I was born before "Halloween" and "Friday The 13th" and the rest.

That Twilight Zone episode scared the HELL out of me as a kid. If Shatner had NEVER been Captain Kirk, that episode would have been enough.

But he was.

And he records God-awful versions of songs I love with famous guest stars.

That's what we call a "360 degree entertainer."

:-)

7. I think the Zonepisode with the creepy fortune telling thing in that diner scared me more.
Did they sit at that table forever? Were they in hell?
