"Jewish BBQ"???? Anyone have any idea what this is?
Passed by a new BBQ place in Concord selling "Jewish BBQ"

I didn't know there was a Jewish BBQ - but hey, I'll try ANY BBQ so I'll just have to find out

1. Where in Concord?
I'm curious too. I hope it's more authentic than "Irish nachos."
(yes, there is such a thing. Not Irish, not nachos --just weird.)

3. Concord, CA - not the Lexington and Concord Concord
What the heck are Irish Nachos? Anything like Mexican Egg Rolls?

9. Yes, Concord CA. Where? Monument? Willow Pass? Near 242 or 680?
"Irish nachos" are a weird concoction with corned beef and waffle fries. Never heard of it before this year.

(BTW, to a New Englander there are two Concords -- one is next to Lexington and the other is the capital of NH. :) )

5. That's what I thought at first, however it didn't say "Kosher BBQ"
And it didn't say "Pareve BBQ"

And it also didn't have that circled K

But who knows, that's the closest thing I could think of...

20. I learned recently of a combo German/Thai restaurant within a reasonable distance.
I must say that the idea of pad thai with a side of potato pancakes is intriguing.

Smokey Joe's is the first authentic, wood-fired, slow-cooked, pit smoked Glatt Kosher bbq restaurant in the US of A. We have taken the time to develop a set of sure-fire recipes guaranteed to satisfy. We smoke beef briskets for up to 14 hour and our chickens and ribs for up to 5 hours. In addition to our authentic bbq, we also have a number of southwestern and tex–mex specialties. Please try our chicken in chocolate mole, spicy gumbo, and blackened fish. We haven’t forgotten our vegetarian friends either, with a number of vegetarian and healthy selections.

Kosher BBQ Lovers Try Not To Overcook the Brisket

Memphis, Tenn. — “Kosher” and “barbecue” are two words that don’t normally fit together in one sentence, but the oldest Orthodox synagogue in Memphis has found a way to make it work by focusing on beef and beans.

No pork permitted.

On a Sunday in late August, the shul known as Anshei Sphard-Beth El Emeth (ASBEE) hosted its annual “Kosher BBQ Contest and Festival,” attracting 42 competitive teams of cooks from around the South and as far away as New York. They turned the synagogue’s parking lot into a white-tented kitchen, filling the air with smoke, laughter, and the sizzle of Southern-style brisket and ribs broiling on charcoal-fired grills.
