Doing my taxes and feeling sorry for myself...until I learnt
a son's friend had passed away... a suicide..he was barely into adulthood..

Cannot even begin to feel how she is feeling, she just mentioned that she would be losing her job of 13yrs 3 days ago..

a parent should never had to bury a child..

1. I'm so sorry. And I agree...that should never have to happen.

2. The most horrific day of my life was going to a friends funeral.
He was 19. Died of an overdose from cocaine and alcohol.

Watching (and hearing) his parents made me sick to my stomach. I barely made it through the service.

I imagine having a child die is worse than having a parent die.

4. I'm so sorry
Yes, hearing things like this puts our own current issues into perspective. It's a jolt.

I'm so sorry for your friend's family and their pain. Death of a child is tragic at any time; suicide compounds it, I think.

Hugs to your friend.
