Ever wake up thinking you've slept all night, then look at the clock and see you only slept 2 hours
And now you can't go back to sleep? :grr:

Happened last night, woke up thinking it had to be at least 5:30-6am, then I looked at the clock and realized it's only 1:30am. Of course now I was wide awake. :banghead: My cat must've done the same thing 'cause she was suddenly scratching to get out of the room, which she NEVER does that early. Only fell back asleep because the cat FINALLY calmed down.

2. I wake up like that, but I don't have trouble getting back to sleep.
So for me, it is like all the "spring forwards" in the last five years get refunded to me in one night. Awesome.

3. Yep!
Sometimes, I'd think it'll be like sleeping late when the alarm finally goes off. Others, it's tossing and turning, while pretending to sleep - and not fooling myself.

4. Happened last night - it's the best.
"OK, I guess it's time to get... WHA'? I can get another four hours of sleep? I'LL TAKE IT!! :zzzzzzzz: "

...is how I usually react.

5. Happens to me every night.
Sometimes I will just stay awake rather than force myself back to sleep. Fortunately, I am no longer working, so I can nap during the day.

6. I once had a job I had to take a taxi to because I left at 4 AM for work and didn't have a car. One
day I woke up to the sound of thunder. I looked at the clock and I was late for work. I called the taxi. He picked me up. We drove to work. On the way there I said "What is the sun doing rising in the West?". LOL! It was the moon. I was awake 10 hours early.

8. That is funny.
I like thinking that I am getting extra sleep.

I never sleep without waking up sevearl times, unless I am really tired.

13. There was a huge lightening strike not far from my apartment. The noise woke me in a startled
fashion so I was out of sorts as I woke up and not paying attention to my rhythms.

14. Oh, not knocking you, I have no room to talk. I'm like fatally sleep disordered, LOL.
But I bet you weren't totally awake, maybe more like sleepwalking?

Or you wouldn't have gone as far as you did without catching on. Kinda scary, really to think of being that 'out of it' so to speak, leaving the house, etc.

Glad you didn't get hurt or anything.

9. Almost every night - it a feature of my insomnia
I get up and read for a bit. Or sit in the recliner and channel surf. If I try to go back to sleep right away, I can't and I'm so restless I wake up hubby.

Then there are the nights like this one is promising to be when my knees hurt so bad sleep will be next to impossible without taking drugs. At this point I can not take something and be so tired and groggy I can't function. Or I can take something, get some sleep, and be so groggy from the drugs I can't function. Nice choice.

15. Yes, all the time.
I can't sleep for more than 4 1/2 to 5 hours at a time.

Insomnia sucks. I'm constantly tired during the day.

I would kill for a full night's sleep.
