Well, that was one way to dodge a speeding ticket. |
|
So I was driving home on the freeway one evening after a particularly exciting evening out, and without noticing, I developed a case of lead foot. The next thing I know, there's a police car behind me, flashing its lights. I slowed down and gradually pulled over onto the shoulder. The cop pulled in behind me, got out of his car, walked up to my window, looked at me, and made a horrible face. I rolled down my window. The stench hit me immediately.
The cop said, "Geez! You pulled over next to a dead animal. Holy Christ. I'm just going to give you a warning, but you need to slow down."
And then he booked ass to his car and took off.
There was something very large and partially decayed in the ditch RIGHT next to my car. I couldn't have planned it better if I'd seen the carcass in the first place. What a horrid stench. Nevertheless, I retained my perfect driving record, so that's a win.
The moral of the story is: if you want to avoid being ticketed for speeding, pull over next to something dead and rotting. Good luck with that.

If I had to make a list of ways to avoid getting a ticket before opening your thread, I don't think that would have made the list!
Well, congrats!
