3. What a beauty.
A couple of years ago I had a dream that I was holding a tiny, tiny bird cupped in my two hands. All I could feel was its long beak sticking out between my fingers.

The next day I was in a grocery store when, yep, a tiny bird flew overhead. It perched on a lamp fixture above me and an employee told me it had been there since the day before. At about that point it took off and flew right into the glass doors, landing on the floor nearby. I walked over and it was looking up at me, a little stunned but fine. I picked it up, cupped in my hands, took it outside and let it go.

It was a Winter Wren, and I hope it's lived a long and happy life.

5. I believe in pre-cognition.
I had a foreign-exchange student one year from Australia. She gave her teachers each a pin of a koala. I never wore mine.

Until one day the following year I did. And that very day, that student from Australia returned for a visit.
