1. 100 tacos for 100 dollars
"Ah, this should provide adequate sustenance for the Dr. Who marathon..."

2. Ugh, Hubby is working late and making me DVR it
and then Roomie and I have to wait until he gets home (sometime between 11pm and ____am) before we're to watch it. It's agonizing! DAMN YOU EASTER WEEKEND!

(Hubby's a chef - it's a very busy weekend for the culinary field)

3. Make him bring something home to eat...
That's not asking a lot, you know...

Whatever he makes, it shouldn't look like this...

5. That's the plan...
If there's anything open when he gets off anyway. He's actually not allowed to take any food off the premises, silly rules for the hotel he works at.

So who's watching the rewind right now?

6. Actually, it's not that silly of a rule. It's to prevent some of them

who would take something home from the kitchen; everything. Clean it out completely.
You may have heard that 10 times more money is stolen out the back door of a bank, than over the counter with a gun.
It's true.
Now, in terms of the Doctor, some episodes I like. And some just don't cut it with me. I think a lot of it has to do with which incarnation of the Doctor is at hand (there are 11 or so?), and then who the feminine counterpart/foil is.
I think my favorite was the young, very young looking one with the puffy lips; her father had been killed; they went back to the time of it and all. I can't remember her name. I think that was my favorite episode too.
Also, I remember Jon Pertwee.

8. That episode was Father's Day... And I have an interesting story about that one
My father was from England. He died when I was an infant and I never knew much about him. One day my mother came in on me watching Doctor Who and turned white as a sheet, and asked if it was in fact Doctor Who. I said, yes it was and she informed me that it had been his favorite show. I had been watching Father's Day at the time. Since then I've always said if I could have one hour with my Dad, we'd watch Doctor Who together - that very episode. I've been told I'm much like him.

Hubby's on his way home with tacos! OOp, change that, he's here. Show time!

9. That was a sweet story...
Now, of course we'll all be hooked on this new season....

By the way, I've been fascinated with each "re-generation" of the Doctor!

I just think it's clever... and the story keeps me in the myth of mankind's quest to save the world.

10. It was really a touching episode for me. I just happened across it

when I managed to turn on the tv and there it was. It gave me also some considerations about my own father.
But also it brought home to me, how, when a person dies, they suddenly are remembered, not truthfully, as they really were, but in this saint like glow; or all the bad is forgotten; and in that episode, he was a drinking, womanizing, sort of bad character (the father). But all the bad disappeared when he died.
But from the daughter's point of view it was quite touching. To see her perception of it all. She had never heard one bad, or truthful word about him.
Anyway, it may be too that my favorite part of Dr Who is the theme music. I love that.
I just had it on for a bit tonight, again per chance, not by design. It really is quite a show.
I see there is another incarnation. 12 or so.

Interesting about your father and all. You must be young. I think the show started in 1963.

13. I will admit that Tom Baker was good. There were all good tho',
and I think of all of them, I liked the look of Tom Baker the least.
Maybe he was the one what looked too real.
