Poll question: Tomorrow's Easter...while I'm playing guitar at church, WILL I sneak in some L. Ron Butterfly?
Edited on Sat Apr-23-11 11:18 PM by Amerigo Vespucci
I have played little snippets of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" on a number of occasions during our evening rehearsals. I don't know if:

A). Anyone recognizes the song, and

B). If they do, I don't know if they get the Simpsons reference.

C). They recognize the song AND the Simpsons reference, but think that if they don;t ENCOURAGE me by ACKNOWLEDGING me, I will STOP (boy, if that's the case, do THEY have a a lot to learn)

Hey, the KIDS get to go on an EASTER EGG HUNT after service tomorrow...shouldn't MY Easter be FUN TOO?

3. DO IT!!!
And have it YouTubed, as well.

I'm going to church tomorrow - well, today - too. And I know for darn sure that there will be no "In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida" - but oh I wish there would be!

Do it!!

*holding up lighter*

4. Not the same without the drum solo
Of course, Simpsons didn't have one either. "Remember when we used to make out to this hymn?"

5. About 7th grade or so, I used to play the HUGE pipe organ up in the choir loft in our church...
.
.
.
...at Sunday services. I'd practice during the week when no one else was in the church.
.
.
.
I used to play "Sympathy for the Devil" (just coincidence -- it had a real easy and slow
chord progression)... thinking all the while there was a good chance I'd get kicked out
of the church or out of Heaven for playing rock and roll on a "holy" instrument.
.
.
.
It sounded SO cool (kick up the "vox humana")... I didn't care one way or another.
