--dozens of beautiful women and scenery-chewing psychopaths

--largely unburdened by the dictates of continuity


Honestly, I hope they crank these things out until the end of time.

5. The name itself, James Bond, is perfection.

Ian Fleming chose that name because it was simple, bland, Anglo, and forgettable. He wanted his spy to be a shadow.

Now the name stands for action, adventure, toughness, determination, sexual cool, you name it. The name has become the opposite of what Fleming intended.
