The goddamn beagle just puked up dog poop all over the office, the house |
|
I am putting her in the garage so we can clean, someone else is letting her back in
This shall not pass!
One question, why the hell did she eat dog poop?

1. It is not that uncommon for dogs to eat poop. |
|
Dog poop still has protein. Was the food bowl empty?

21. sounds like a stray MiniPin that spent the night with us years ago |
|
"will eat till they explode (they dont have an off switch)"
ate so much, we thought she was famished from wandering far away from home
we tracked down her owner the next morning via the serial number on her metal vaccination tag -- come to find out she only lived right across the street

5. I fought to keep dogs away from my cat's litter box. They love that high-protein poop. No kidding! |
|
Was that the source? Make sure they can't get to it. Once they've sampled digested feline cuisine, they never lose a taste for it.
I've had dogs who liked to roll in the rumens of dead herbivores when they rotted in the pasture. It's Chanel #5 to the nose of a dog.
Try not to be mad, the stress won't help the behavior. Good luck!

I've yet to meet a dog that didn't indulge at one time or another. Here's some info you might find helpful: http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&A=1613

|
I was told at the vet that he'd outgrow it. It took longer than I would have liked x(, but he did. :)

10. Reminds me of when I got my dog |
|
I went to the local Humane Society and made my way to the puppies. The first one I picked out was a beagle, which I took to the room they have set up as a "get to know you" area. The beagle promptly pooped, then ate it. I took him back and picked out a different pup (who I adopted).

16. You need to rule-out an obstruction. |
|
If they can't poop out one end it could come out the other and it is an emergency.
