Not every Cat album was as good, IMO

He wrote some very beautiful music

He also wrote some pretty meh tunes as well

But that selection chosen for one of my favorite movies, Harold and Maude, well that was a perfect selection

For the uninformed that would be...

Don't Be Shy

Tea for the Tillerman

Where do the Children Play?

I Wish, I Wish

On the Road to Find Out

Miles from Nowhere

If you Want to Sing Out, Sing Out

I Think I see the Light

Trouble

P.S. Harold did invent goth in that movie. He was the original.

P.P.S. Cameron Diaz' character 'Mary' got that movie wrong. It's not about "wuv, twue wuv" it's about lots of things, but not that.

1. My absolute favorite scene in that movie is when they're having the picnic...
.
.
.
...and "Where Do the Children Play" is playing and the camera
pans out and out and out and out and you see row after row
after row after endless row of white crosses and you realize
that they're in a military cemetery.
.
.
.
VERY powerful.

2. One of my favorite movies...
some trivia:

In her autobiography, Ruth Gordon said that she never expected to make a dime off the movie. She then made the remark that she had finally gotten a check covering her percentage of profits--that was just before she died.

3. OH yeah!
That movie was also very much about the here and now - Vietnam was raging, the US was against it, and being in America (much like today) felt like a very unnatural removal from reality

5. One of the best, very best movies of all time.
There are not many things that I've loved as long as I've loved Harold and Maude. And damn, that sound track is magnificent.

6.  I would be remiss in my duty, if I did not tell you,
that the idea of... intercourse - your firm, young... body... comingling with... withered flesh... sagging breasts... flabby b-b-buttocks... makes me want... to vomit.
