Talk me out of making avocado chocolate pudding
Quick!

(Although Avocado Chocolate Pudding would have been a great 60s band name.)

15. Was awesome! Kicked ass and took names.
I didn't look for a recipe. I just threw an avocado (ok, not the skin or pit) in a blender with a tablespoon of cocoa powder, maybe two tablespoons of honey and distilled water to cover and made a big mess. A delicious one, though.

3. When babysitting for my little brother, I used to make pudding pies.
.
.
.
Back then, chocolate pudding was TOO chocolatey for me, so I would mix a box
of chocolate with a box of vanilla.
.
Once, we were out of vanilla, but had a box of "pineapple cream pudding".
.
Tried a small sliver of that pie and threw most of that sliver away.
.
Offered some to MiddleFingerMomDad when he got home. He was the tiny sliver
that had been taken out already, said "That bad, eh?" and declined.
.
Tossed the whole pie, I did.
.
.
.
Avocado/Chocolate seems kinda pointless.
.
.
.
I love both flavors, but can't see mixing them.
.
.
.
I love Guinness and I love champagne. Some mix them and it simply ruins both.
.

5. What I found out when I looked for the recipe
Avocados make it creamy, but keeps it vegan. I had some pineapple wine from Hawaii once, my friend served it with chocolate, it was so horrible, even she agreed it was an error.

7. Dammit, now I want an Avocado shake
I had one at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Virginia and it was incredible. Now you made want to go to the store after work and get the ingredients to make my own. :9

14. I don't know what Vietnamese-style is like, but
the one I have everyday with lunch features a quarter of an avocado, a quarter of a (seeded) cucumber, frozen pineapple (or frozen peaches and blueberries, but frankly that one isn't nearly as good) and water to cover, smeared in my single-serve blender. Brilliant, if less pretty than your picture.

9. Well, William Blake said "The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom," but
it ain't necessarily so

If I had an avocado right now, I'd spread it on some nice pumpernickel with a bit of Swiss cheese and maybe a thin slice of cucumber or tomato, and I'd enjoy it with a glass of dark beer, if I had some pumpernickel and Swiss cheese and cucumber and dark beer

And then if I had some chocolate, I'd enjoy it later, maybe with a touch of vanilla ice cream

11. Maybe I should have mentioned that I don't eat gluten, dairy or soy
The latter two are optional; the first life or death (in the long run). But tapioca would probably be a lot less freaky.

12. I can't. Mix raw cacao powder with a ripe avocado. The avocado will act as cocoa butter.
Edited on Tue Apr-26-11 03:28 PM by freshwest
Whip in a little bit of vanilla, cinnamon and raw honey.

22. Glad you suggested it. I'd probably skip the cinnamon and vanilla myself. I love raw food.
I'll make it next time I get the munchies and won't forget the water.

Until then, avocado shakes R us.

20. You know how avocados turn brown after a while?
Even if you cover the top with plastic wrap after pouring lemon juice over it, it still turns brown. Well, that won't happen with the chocolate pudding, well, at least you won't be able to see it.

Only drawback: I may never sleep again. It's the law-abiding person's cocaine!:P
