One of those old Charles Bronson vigilante movies is on AMC! |

Bad acting, cliched writing, stereotypical characters, NYC in the '70's -- perfect!

Jeff Goldblum played one of the gang that raped and brutalized Bronson's family.

6. The first one of those I watched was the last. |

There's a criminal who does nothing but grab people's cameras and run like hell. Bronson introduces himself in the neighborhood by deliberately carrying an expensive camera, waiting for the thief to grab it and run, and shoot him in the back with one of those guns that leave a football-sized hole in the chest.
What a courageous hero.

7. I always thought his most disturbing film was "10 to Midnight." |
|
Serial killer rather than vigilante type of film, but Gene Davis...who played the killer...was just a bit too believable in the role.
Don't want to post any spoilers here, but I'm confident DU can do the math...Psycho serial killer and Charles Bronson in the same movie. How d'ya think it ENDS?

8. Best ending ever. Especially since he was naked at the time. |
|
What is weird is I remembered Andrew Stevens as being the killer. But I watched it recently and no, he was another cop.

10. Do you remember those "Billy Jack" movies from the early 70's? |
|
Good stuff! I think the song: "One Tin Soldier" was in one of them - but I can't recall for sure.
I don't think that they ever became all that popular....but I sure as heck remember them as an impressionable adolescent!!!! (Didn't hurt that I am part Native American either ~ :-)

The first one was pretty good. The rest pretty bad. And by the first one I mean Billy Jack, not Born Losers which had a character named Billy Jack played by Tom Laughlin but was not really the same guy.
When he beats the hell out of the guy after the ice cream shop scene it felt real good didnt it. :-)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssHEAOrAdCUBe warned, the trailer is unrated and it shows. This movie was over the top hilarity, and the best thing Rutger Hauer has ever done.
