We are watching the royal wedding this morning, all the food is ready. |
|
I watched William's Mother and Father get married, damn that makes me feel old.
Good for Katy for getting her Prince.
Here is a Shiner beer to toast the happy couple.

4. That sounds like a wonderful, fun thing to do! |
|
I am tivoing it to watch at a more civilized hour.
I remember getting up in the middle of the night to watch Diana's wedding. I was horrified that they put such a beautiful woman in such a godawful dress.
I hope Kate can have more happiness than her late mother-in-law.
You are soooo right..... the world does need a party.

5. Yeah, I have to work tomorrow night... |
|
so I'm not getting up at 5 am central to watch it. Otherwise I'd get up to watch it.
Someday, when I'm asked by my kids where I was when they got married, I'll have to tell them that I was sleeping cuz I had to work.

I dressed WAY up to go into work that day 'cause that's all we were going to be covering even after the fact.
Just tweeted Richard Quest (I think - still getting used to Twitter).
I just love this stuff. Always have!
Enjoying an Irish Cream that I'm going to be nursing all night long. Actually I have three drinks - the irish Cream, my diet Cherry Pepsi, and a big mug of hot tea (what's left of it). And I have apple slices, a couple of leftover stuffed grape leaves, but all the cinnamon rolls my husband just baked are gone. Party! My boys are all home from band practice. Everything AND the excruciatingly hilarious Richard Quest!
Good Lord look at the hats already!

Did you just see that band leader with the baton as long as he was tall? Amazing!

This is the business Kate's parents own: http://www.partypieces.co.uk/He was an air traffic controller and she was a flight attendant before they came up with this.

The hats, the bandleader, the art, the architecture, the colorful crowds, the historical references, the jovial mood.
We are doing an Irish breakfast with rashers, brown bread, Barry's Tea but are adding an American touch with mimosas.
Here's to having fun with a rare decorative event and taking a day off from the grind.

The announcer just said breathlessly: "We are desperate to see the hat!" Referring to Kate's hat, of course, and the pressure from "on high" that she wear a tiara rather than flowers in her hair. I love the maple trees on Arbor Day.
Thank God for the occasional lightness in life.
