11. Do you think only rednecks live in trailers?
I live in a mobile home and I am by far not a redneck.

14. Yeah, yanks my chain too. I lived in one as a child and we were just military poor.
Well, my father was a major redneck, but that didn't have anything to do with being in the trailor. POOR had to do with living in the trailor.

16. I'm a redneck.
I admit it. lol :) I don't live in a trailer, but it's damn close.

and yeah, I've got a dead truck in my driveway, kids toys....lol, it's Maine. We're all rednecks up here (unless you're from away and retired here)

That would be most excellent multigenerational housing. The elders on grade level, everyone else up a level or two. The small one with the orange siding is where you stash a teen.

I like the lawn windmill sitting on top of the second tier trailer on the left.

Not so different from living in condos or apartments. Good use of land.

Those are some very old travel trailers so they may have been free. It looks like a nice woodland location and took a lot of work. Personally, trailers gross me out, but that's just my tastes.

I would not want to live there unless I was in love with *everyone* that lived there. Love covers a lot of sins, haha. It's housing for the otherwise homeless, so I won't knock it. We don't want to do that.

Rather than be in bondage to mortgages, some have sought out living in tiny houses. As a lifelong fan of Thoreau, the concept appeals to me. Less time 'working for the man' and more time with people and nature. I'd love one of these tiny places to not take up vegetable space if I had a piece of land now:

I apologize for making such a long post. But some say they despair of ever owning a home, so these links are for them. I am not trying to insult anyone. It's definitely not for everyone, but there shouldn't be a stigma for those who do want to live in alternative housing.

The housing problem is not being addressed by government or the private sector and the working poor are out of luck. Mostly by municipalities favoring McMansions to create large tax bases.

Some places are making way for these tiny homes, even allowing them to circle around and create small communities with smaller footprints, more helping between neighbors, and less energy.

It's a big step above the homeless shelter, living in a tent or a car. For people in need, almost anything is better than being homeless.

21. I like it. In the right environment, it would be a great way to recycle old RV's -
It doesn't look uncomfortable at all, basically a studio apartment for everyone. If one wanted to actually make a house like that, you'd probably gut and build around the biggest two RVs for your central room and kitchen area, and use covered walkways to connect the other RV's as private rooms.
Tres Cool.
And the Pink Flamingo is a must!
