Some tv show said the skull and bones group has a tradition of a clock 5 minutes ahead. If that is true that they do have a clock forward by 5 minutes, they probably don't know what that is about, so figured I might post some thoughts on it.
Also there was an episode of SG1 where one person could see a few seconds forward in time.
Here is an easy way to think on it, sort of a Time Lord thing, it is part of temporal lore. Behind reality is an expanse, if you slip behind reality even a little the concept of linear time does not apply.
So in sports they have a concept, in the zone, that works like that, and that can be shown by not having to look to actually know if the ball goes in, also the blindfolded Jedi concept.
So when someone is 'in the zone', you can shoot a basketball and know you made it while shooting it. Or as Eddie Feltson said in the Hustler, "you don't have to look, you just know. You make shots that nobody's ever made before."
When in the zone, the end result, a few seconds forward, and your actions are simultaneous, so your body adjust to make the end outcome match the wanted result, if the shot was not going in, your body would adjust till the result matches the action. Why also a Tennis player said he can see a few seconds forward in time.
Basically while shooting the ball, it is also going into the hoop, while in the zone in your mind, and if it isn't going in you don't shoot, and there is a feeling to adjust. Why you 'know' and why, when in the zone, doubt is usually telling you that you are off line in someway, since the result is not matching the thought, so your body corrects.
However, as most know, many things can simulate zone doubt to keep you out of the zone, then you adjust by second guessing, so you have to not be in those thoughts, doubt can create that doubt, or fear, or apprehension, or many other things, as most people know. But when in the zone, the shots line up by the end result guiding the action to create it, all of that happening outside of linear time.
Just figured I would post that so the skull and bones crowd would know why they have a ritual of a clock a few minutes forward.
Although I don't believe in temporal lore.
