Remember LPs?
Obvious copycat.

I still have an LP player attached to the stereo - Techniques SL-3300 direct-drive with the strobe. Then again, I've also got a LaserDisc player, 2 VCRs, 2DVDs, a dual cassette drive, and a 6-disc magazine CD player hooked into the same amplifier, along with the equalizer and tuner. It requires the use of the TV jacks and two A/B switches to get all of that shit to work, but it does.

2. I don't know about 1000 - but I can claim at least 3 U-Haul book boxes worth.
Maybe more. I've got about the same in LaserDiscs.

3. Yup.
Kenwood record player and analogue tuner and some Radio Shack speakers. Later, I added a Sony double cassette deck.

4. 5000+ LPs here
and a SOTA Cosmos Series 3 turntable with a Graham 2.2 pickup arm, Dynavector XV-1S cartridge and, currently, a Pass Labs XP-25 phono stage.

They will get my vinyl when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

5. Yes
I still love my vinyl and was listening to it quite regularly until my last turntable crapped out. I must find another one.

I'm looking for a Sansui SR-929, I had one and used it for years and years until the motor finally burned up. It was the king of turntables IMO, but I can't find one for sale anywhere :(

7. Remember them? I have a closet full, in alpha order.
Devon turntable. Many of my LPs cannot be found in CD, and besides that, why would I want to pay to have something I already have?
