Apple, Windows of the early '90s called, it wants its program manager back. |
|
Today, Apple Inc. has introduced an interface that bears striking resemblance to program manager from Windows 3.1 and other earlier versions. I'm laughing my ass off. It's called launchpad and once they get done with their little WWDC Keynote, you will so have to check it out to see what I'm talking about. It's hilarious.
Everything old is new again.

1. Looks more like iOS to me. |

They seem to be merging features and appearances for the day when one OS will run on both Apple desktops and tablets.

4. I have probably studied more computer history than you have. |

I'm just speaking to the specifics of this type of interface. The new Launchpad looks remarkably like Program Manager in the way it works.
