48. Me too. That was the passion of my childhood.
I had a Quarter Horse/Morgan gelding -- black in summer and dark bay in winter. He was a beauty.

However, I experienced and witnessed one close call and brush with mortality too many. Horses are amazing, but they inadvertently cause you death or paralysis so easily. Once the fear gets you, it's hard to go back.

4. I used to go out of my house and be around people.
I am currently due beer and travel money and that will be sent. I have chosen not to do anything, accept what I use to do when I had money to go out, share thoughts on what I think. However I have great disrespect for those that do not correct what is due, the beer and travel money to me. And they will be delt with, I however don't make deals.

And as far as laughing or other things.

I am due beer and travel money, and that will be sent. Or all existence can disappear, that is fine. The world will be more just and compassionate. And I will be sent the beer and travel money that is due.

And know that anyone that thinks they can put me in a situation like not being around people, you can't take my mind, nor do I respect you, and I defy your every thought. You can wrongly try to imprison me in material matters, but you can not imprison my mind or thoughts, that are the same as they were when I was younger, and even if not around people, I still find things to learn from and express.

But you can not take my freedom nor my own choice of thoughts.

And I disrespect you if you think you can.

I am due beer and travel money, and will not do what someone says people have to do, when they can not defend it, to get that. It is a due that will be sent, and that have the ability to correct that and do not, or that try to stop that correction by wrongful actions, they will answer to something else.

You misused the word accept above, but accept may be the right word.

Accept that your beer and travel money is not coming and let it go.

Don't be covetous and watch what comes your way.

the only way I could communicate. I was far to shy to say anything else. I was more of a clown and I don't know that it was anything more than a copeing method, as it often is. I'm glad I'm not as self depretiating too.

Yes, they are goofy. And fun loving. But I just cannot imagine having a dog stuck in the house all day while I am working. It isn't fair to the dog and I would suffer from guilt. Maybe one day if I can ever retire, there will be dogs.

15. Horseback ride, walk without pain, sleep on a semi-regular schedule
I used to get on a horse and ride all day - start before dawn and get back as the sun was setting. Twenty or thirty miles a day. Now I can't walk long enough to catch one of the horses, much less groom and saddle it. I gave up riding before my knees went bad, though. After my shoulder operation, my balance was completely off. I don't know if it was from the anesthesia, from not having use of one arm for more than six months or what but I get too dizzy to be able to trust myself on a horse.

Lack of sleep is from lack of physical activity. I am doing leg lifts and what I can without walking, but that is not much.

19. Same as you, actually
I used to actually be fairly quick-witted and always bouncy and laughing. Now I'm gregarious and depressing. I really don't know why it happened. It actually has me a bit worried. Thing about it is that I'm generally a happy person. I'm happily married, have a decent paying job and not much to complain about. I think it may just be part of getting old.

I see more and more of my father in me as the years go on.

Other than that, I used to play guitar, fish, all sorts of things. I really need to get out of this rut.

20. Some might think I am in a rut.
Personally I am due beer and travel money, and it does not matter any situation, until that is corrected.

And there obviously are some that also don't care if the debt of beer and travel money is corrected even if I spend years in a current craptastic place.

But I can either outlast them, or possibly live in craptastic situation till I die. Really does not matter either way.

Because I am due beer and travel money and that will be sent.

And if it does go all the way to death, I will have the last laugh dieing free, if not then things will be corrected, becuase that is just and compassionate, and the world gets more just every day, so eventually if I live long enough...

The beer and travel money that is due will arrive.

30. I used to be a pretty good pool player
Edited on Thu Jun-09-11 08:08 AM by meow2u3
I used to win pool tournaments in intercollegiate play, bta, I was a big fish in a small pond. I also played pool in regional tournaments and held my own, until I could no longer play because of bone spurs in my heels. I don't play pool anymore not only because my foot problems kept me out of the game, but also because I can no longer see well enough to play up to my standards. I've been away from the game for 15 years.

I also used to drink and party until the middle of the night in my collegiate days, but those days are behind me. Mind you, I started college at 24, 6 years after most kids start. It just took me longer to grow up. Now, I hardly drink, but when I do, it's primarily wine.

I used to have friends. Now, I'm lonely and don't know anyone. :(

32. obsess about my body
I used to sit around, eat crap food, then starve myself for a few weeks, then start the whole cycle all over again. Destroyed my metabolism. I got up to almost 200 lbs by the time I was 35.

But I don't do that anymore.

I thought maybe us old people needed to say something positive about our lives NOW rather than bemoan what we've lost as the years passed. I love my life at 56 far better than I did at 26, 36 or 46!!!

34. Drugs...
Aside from a wide range of drugs, I used to indulge in a variety of sexually debaucherous behaviors and consume terrible foods. I no longer do the first, have limited the second to what can be accomplished within my marriage, and have severely limited the third.

I also used to perform live music as a primary occupation. I don't do that any more at all, although I keep toying with the idea of doing some kind of one-time local performance.

I used to run and play sports. Now I'm old, injured and fat.

I used to wear make-up and sexy clothes. Those days are way over. See above.

Here are things I do now that I never used to do:

I have a wonderful son and we do lots of things together. Our new favorite thing is "Mommy and Garrison Fun Sundays." We get up and eat breakfast and clean the house. Then we do things from our Fun Sunday List:

Do an art project
Backyard baseball
Hide-and-go-seek
Hide-and-go-tag
Bake treats
Update website
Dance
Yoga
Wii

I also mow the lawn. I never had a lawn before.

:hi:

Sorry to hear you don't laugh. Hope you laugh again soon.

44. Too much to list
Life manifests changes in a way - you either have to change your behavior or you'll die. Adapt or die - one of the very basic human truths.

Let's see - among the more memorable:

1. Treating Mountain Roads as a road rally special stage, pretending I'm trying out for the WRC
2.
3. Drugs (except those which are prescribed of course)
4. Partying - you know, nightclub type of thing, alcohol. Amazing, I'm not even 30 yet and I've become totally intolerant to thumping bass. I'm ending up just like my mother...
5. Reading. I really used to find the time to read an interesting novel or three - I'm too busy, or at least, my priorities have put it too low in the list to get to.
6. Writing. Same as above.
7. Exercise. I really ought to work out regularly.
8. Go cheap. You get what you pay for.

I'll do it again sometime but in the past I just did it, no planning necessary. Now it seems I need to be in the right frame of mind with at least 24hrs at hand to do it.

Draw. I was good at it and enjoyed it. My friends would have me draw them and they'd hang them up. I liked to draw ads and beautiful women from magazines and dogs/animals, trees- I have art books some where filled with my drawings...I haven't done it in so long. I should try drawing something tonight, see if I still have it.

51. Drink booze
It's been a year since Memorial Day. I'd been wanting to quit like forever so I kept thinking of childhood days before I liked it. However, I got in so deep that I now play with toys and watch Sesame Street. But wait...I did that anyway. I sure like Mr. Noodle. Anyway, it got too expensive and my health was taking a nose dive. Now I just drink gallons of iced tea.

Although the point of going out and drinking is to be around people.

And on the topic of the beer and travel money not having been sent.

There will be a action taken on those that have wrongly set situations in the material that caused that wrong, and that includes censors and those that think they can steal and smear, although it is important to post such sentiments, to make sure it is known why, and to wash my hands of what they bring onto themselves by not sending the beer and travel money that is due.

I am due beer and travel money and many experiences.
