4. Just ate a bag full yesterday, yum.
I love cherry season!

It's one of those fruits where you can all but predict sweetness simply by the firmness of the flesh.

6. They were $3.30 a pound with 19 cents off if you had a Shoprite discount card
I usually only buy what I plan to eat that day. I tend to forget I have fruit in my fridge until they are a rotting science experience.

8. They clean out my insides
BTW, for those of you who suffer from gout - the best natural remedy is cherries. Cherries do not cure gout but they can ease flare-ups.

Cherries May Cut Risk of Gout Flare-ups
Eating About 20 Cherries a Day Halved Gout Patients' Risk of Recurrent Attacks, Study Finds
By Charlene Laino
WebMD Health NewsReviewed by Laura J. Martin, MDNov. 11, 2010 (Atlanta) -- People with gout may be able to cut in half their risk of recurrent attacks by eating about 20 cherries a day, preliminary research suggests.

The findings support years of anecdotal reports from patients that cherries help keep the inflammatory arthritic condition in check, doctors here say.

Still, the study does not prove cause and effect, just that there appears to be an association between eating cherries and a lower risk of recurrent gout attacks. People with gout who eat cherries may share some other characteristic that makes them less prone to flare-ups.

13. Yum- had the best ones we've ever eaten last week
They were grown on the Sacramento River Delta and sold at a little pull-off across the road. So juicy, flavorful, and just the right ripeness.

15. Yum. I just had a fruit salad with cherries, strawberries, blueberries and peaches.
It was a pita to cut the cherries in half to get the pits out though.
