Does anyone know of a Denny's that serves alcoholic beverages? |
|
I was just going through one of those coupon mailers and there was one for Denny's for 20% off the entire guest check. In the small print, it has the exclusion I would expect to find from TGIF's or Applebee's - "Alcoholic beverages not included." :wtf:

1. I could swear that I once ate breakfast in a Denny's |
|
that had a bar. It was, naturally, in Wisconsin.

3. There used to be a Denny's with a bar not 5 minutes from my house |
|
It was one of the really cool old ones with the high, steep roof. They tore it down to build yet another huge condo monstrosity. The spot is still sitting vacant.

4. I'd hope Denny's would improve the edibility of their food before going so far |
|
as to add alcohol to the menu. Then again, the drunker you are, the less you worry about what you're eating. One comedian said that beef jerky is the perfect drunk's food. 3am in the mini-mart, you're drunk and can't buy more booze. What will hit the spot!?

I dunno, I never really paid attention as the only times I was ever near Denny's was during work but I think I saw beer on the menu starting sometime around the time they started emphasizing their late-night/overnight menu of bar-food/appetizers type food.

Most of the Denny's connected to and run with hotels have liquor licenses.

we had a Denny's years ago, they closed down. Sold the building, which was renovated w/a bar and opened up as another restaurant...which closed. Denny's bought it back about a month ago and are reopening and will be serving alcohol. As for not including a discount on alcohol, it's probably a state law. You can't (in Maine) discount it on a check. To the state that is the equivalent of giving away alcohol which is not legal.
