3 metal clips to keep the top of the socks closed & together in twos, 3 metal clips to keep the toes together, sticker with the name of socks, cardboard wrapping to name to socks and hold them all together, white plastic thinggy to keep all three pairs together and a hanger to hang all three pairs. Is it just me or does this seem a little excessive??? Is anyone in marketing? Why do they do this?

1. Arrgh, I just went through that too
Drives me nuts. You think after you wrestle the tough plastic/paper sticky band off that you're home free, but no, there's that tough plastic hanger thingy to deal with. Then after that, there are still TWO sets (or more) of the plastic thingy that, if you don't catch it, will end up in the carpet. Stupid.

2. I got some a couple days ago
in a "resealable bag". Why do I need the bag to be resealable?

Why can't they just tie the socks together with a string? Why does everything have to come encased in plastic?

3. I can't find any decent socks
they are all made in China and wear out in a month. The packaging lasts longer in the landfill than the socks do.

4. Buy Wigwams.
Those are the only decent ladies' socks that I can find any more. Those crappy things made in China not only wear out, they have seams across the toes that hurt when you wear the socks.

I get Wigwams at the Red Wing shoe store. The last time I went there they did not have any, so I bought the mens' socks. I guess I will have to see if I can get them online. They are good socks.

5. Sierra Trading Post has some Wigwam women's (and men's) socks-
at lower prices, too. My brothers and cousin have bought some stuff from them.
