X-Men: Fist Class. Good movie, with some flaws. |
|
I'm a rare Marvel fan who doesn't mind if a superhero movie does not stay close true, so I didn't go expecting X-Men: Fist Class to read like the first X-Men comics. The movie was good, but it had continuity issues with the first three films that kept throwing me off. It also seems as though Fox Studios are so devoted to Cyclops and the gang that they won't dare make a sequel beyond Last Stand. Instead of going back in time, they should have moved forward with theyounger mutants such as Iceman and Shodowcat. Regardless, it was still a fun two hours.

1. Green Hornet, on the other hand, sucked moose cock. |
|
Kato was okay, and the car wasn't bad, but the guy who played the Hornet? No. It basically had no plot and was just a jumble of crap.
I haven't seen X-Men yet, but plan to.
Now the Iron Man movies - THOSE were excellent! Iron Man 2 is one of the few sequels I've seen that actually out-did the first movie and yet stood entirely on its own. My buddy across the street said it was really just a setup for the upcoming Avengers movie. I'm not that up on my superheroes.

4. While we are on the subject of comic book heroes... |
|
Thor kicked ass. It was like Lord of the Rings, except it wasn't nine hours long and didn't try to convey some deep meaning. It also had some pretty good comic relief. So just how many robot monsters are there running around for super heroes to blow up? Well, it doesn't matter because they are only there to to give Thor and his friends something to smash.
By the way, if you are a comic book guy and have somehow managed to land a date for the evening, when you get to the theater, kindly SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! This isn't Herman fucking Melville or the Iliad up there, okay? She doesn't need you to explain it to her. There's just nothing deep or overly symbolic going on. She can figure it out even if she has never heard of Nick Fury. Besides, I sure as shit did not pay to listen to you, dumbass.

You didn't pay did you.
How would I know that?
I am due beer and travel money, and that has not arrived, although if you do not have more beer and travel money then you need, that would not apply to you would it.

6. Huh? We had to pay to be admitted to the theater. |
|
Not sure what you mean by beer and travel money.
