1. Vicious!
Edited on Thu Jun-16-11 12:33 PM by Zephie
I kid, of course. I have a pit/pointer. I was told he was a foxhound/boxer mix when I got him but that turned out not to be true. I was scared when I found out he was pit mix, partially due to the fear that is pushed around here about them. However I've found he's the best dog I've ever owned. Shows you never know.

2. Ohhhh! What a GOOD dog!
That face is too sweet for words!

I just want to say that the pits I have known have all been the sweetest dogs. The ONLY thing vicious about the Pits I have known was their gas. They'd come up and lay down on my feet and then proceed to fart out an olive drab cloud that would peel paint off the walls...

3. You are right. I have owned 2 pit bulls and their gas can be vicious,
especially after they have eaten chicken.

4. I feel sorry for the dogs. Imagine how that must be with the sensitive sense of smell a dog has...
It did not matter what we fed them, those poor dogs were gassy. I always kind of worried that they might be in pain. I know for sure WE were suffering!

5. LOL!!...
I have two boxers and one of them can clear a house. We always know its gonna be bad when she doesn't eat breakfast. By the evening, it could be 30 below and we're opening the windows.

I had a rottie that had the same problem.

My daughter just adopted a pit, and she said his gas is terrible. But he's such a cuddle bug, it doesn't matter.
