My Grandpa died.

He passed away early this morning. Just found out. Mom and Dad got the message this morning, but there was some mixup with the voice message.

I didn't know it then, but I was extraordinarily lucky. I had all 4 of my Grandparents until my Mom's Mother died when I was 16. The others all lived to see my kids born.

One of the things that makes me sad sometimes is that my kids barely knew any of their grandparents. Only my father is left and he isn't a kid type of person so basically they never got to have the relationship with the older generation that I did. I mean they don't know, but I do.
