I should be asleep. Instead I watched a documentary about crap! |
|
I mean literally it was about crap - human crap.
:puke:
I was flipping thru the channels and thought I'd finally watch the new Keith Olbermann show. Instead I feel asleep (it was the late showing of it, I was tired - not his fault).
When I woke up it was the top of the hour and they had some show called "Vanguard" and the guy was exploring the world crisis when it comes to human sanitation around the globe.
OMG it was like a train wreck I couldn't turn away from even though I was about to :puke:

4. Do you want to take a bath in water where you have crap floating around in it |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-23-11 09:58 AM by LynneSin
Or drink it? Or brush your teeth with it?
Many of the rivers in India including the Ganges are nothing more than one giantsize cesspool and yet millions of people in the country will bath in the Ganges, wash their clothes and drink that same water.
Some of these countries they visted, people would literally pop a squat right there along the side of the river and downstream someone is using that same water to clean their clothes.

6. I saw the preview of that |
|
Don't think I could watch it- too depressing to think about the conditions people live in, environmental devastation, etc. Actually, most things on Vanguard are highly depressing. Great show though.

9. I didn't think I could but it was like a train wreck - I couldn't turn it off |
|
I will say this much - there are places in this world I would not visit unless I could bring my own fresh water with me.
