Don't get even, don't get mad - outlast the bastards

And be the fly in their ointment until they leave

4. I've been here, on and off, for six years and I had never
used the ignore function until the last couple of days. I wish the residents of that list a quick pizza delivery.

I was on HuffPo for a year but the paid fascist trolls overran far too many threads. I didn't expect to have that problem at DU, but there ya go.

5. There are trolls here, I have noticed
And many of them are pretty blatant about it, just like the ones on HuffPo and Daily Kos.

Their aim is simple: smear rather than discuss, browbeat rather than argue and then alert if anyone gets mad at them for being, well, a troll.

7. I don't ignore anyone
But I'm absolutely positive that some people have me on ignore.

I don't know why… Hey, I'm a big ol' harmless pussycat.

11. My ignore list is less than 10 names...
My first ignore was a long-time member who was ALWAYS namecalling, picking fights, etc...yet somehow managed to always come out smelling like a rose. Anyway, your post prompted me to check my list, and I'll be damned if this guy isn't a tombstone now. I don't know when it happened, but I know he stuck around at least two years after I ignored him...because he was my only ignore for that period of time. Gotta say, I only wish there was a way to virtually piss on that virtual grave.

13. Same here
I've only ignored 2 people, both no longer on here. One was always talking down to people, acting like she had superior knowledge, and was often pretty nasty to those with whom she disagreed. Once she and her buddy (the other ignored person) even started following me into another thread to both attack me. Yet, for some reason, many on DU really respected her. Not sure how she ended up "smelling like a rose" so often.

14. Use the Buddy List instead of the Ignore List.
Then tiptoe through the tombstones whenever ya want.

12. I wish there was a list somewhere
Just in the last day or so I've been wondering what happened to the guy who bought a bookstore. And the person in CT who was thinking of opening a B&B? Redstone? Was that the user name?

16. You made me wonder.
Usually I use the ignore function sparingly and usually it only lasts for a short period. Once I blow of steam I will un-ignore them.

I had a short list of ignores. 3 to be exact. All 3 are now tombstoned.
