How y'all doing?

I'm doing pretty good. Jen and I have the honeymoon planned, all that's left to do is reserve our room. Oh yeah, and get married of course. :) The big day is November 5th, but in our hearts we are already married.

My job is going well. I recently got a raise and I also got a new truck to drive last week. The owner's son wants to train me on a new style of truck that only a couple of guys know how to drive. I'll be the back-up in case of emergency or any other reason those guys may not be available to drive that truck. With the training comes another raise. It's a $300,000 truck and the guy says he needs someone who is very responsible to drive it. I'm glad they think so highly of me there. I've only been there about 4 months now. I must have made a good impression.

In other news, I've been investigating the whole 2012 deal. I guess you guys have probably heard of that by now, but just in case you haven't, something big is supposed to happen on 12/21/2012 according to some people. The date signifies the end of an approximately 5000 year cycle according to an ancient Mayan calender. I guess there's some kind of an astronomical alignment that happens around that time as well. Something about the Earth, sun, and center of the Milky Way galaxy all being aligned. Some people think it will be doomsday for humanity while others think the event will usher in a new age of enlightenment. I've come to the conclusion that 2012 is the New Age version of the rapture. I read some good books in the process of coming to that conclusion, though. It was definitely worth investigating. I'm glad I just didn't dismiss it from the get-go.

The job front sounds great. They have an excellent employee and it sonds like they know it! Good for you.

Honestly, I really don't give "end of the world" timelines any thought. I guess I just figure what's going to happen will happen. But it would be nice to be a little more enlightened. :)
