You died & went to Heaven. Your Job - Create the ultimate Heaven Rock & Roll Band
Edited on Fri Jul-15-11 08:43 AM by LynneSin
First - everyone goes to heaven unless you murdered someone, a child pedophile, a rapist/partner abuser or someone who use their power and/or money to suppress the lil people.

So there are alot of really really good musicians available for you in Heaven. And God likes her bands really big PLUS she expects an opening act too.

Go ahead and create your ultimate Band in Heaven!

BTW you can recommend the entire band or just members of it!

5. But think of some of the killer duets he could do
He could just sing "Under Pressure" over and over again using people like Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin etc. etc.

7. Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar, and Bonham and Moon on drums
Every Raylette who ever sang doing harmony vocals. Clarence White sitting in on acoustic guitar. Clarence Clemons on sax. John Lennon writing the songs. George Harrison doing whatever the f*** he wants to do! That's just for starters.

14. Ask yourself this very simple question - If you died, went to your eternal afterlife home and....
was greated by Ronald Reagan and Jerry Falwell, where do you think you ended up in the afterlife.

Nuff said!

19. Outstanding. But, got to mix it up a bit.
Ella Fitzgerald and Janis Joplin join the band on vocals. No women in your group. Gotsta change that. Also, find room for John Lennon.

20. Presumably in heaven you'd be at your physical peak so Elvis should be the front man
Not the Vegas Elvis, the Sun Records Elvis.

You can't find anyone who's more Rock and Roll.

25. For some reason I just can't picture Jerry Garcia and Keith Moon on the same stage
Love em both, but I'm not so sure they would love each other. Can't see Keith going along with all the 20 minute jam versions of the songs.

30. This isn't easy, because band chemistry is usually more important than virtuosity.
You take someone out of a band with great chemistry lineup and very often the band loses its magic.

Anyway,

John Fogerty: Guitar, vocals, and songwriter
Mark Knopfler: Guitar and songwriter
Don Henley: Drums, vocals, songwriter
Sting: Bass, vocals, songwriter

Ella Fitzgerald: Vocals
Chick Corea: Keyboards
Stanley Clarke: Bass
Al DiMeola: Guitar
Lenny White: Drums
John Coltrane: Sax

SRV: Guitar
Stewart Copeland: Drums
John Paul Jones: Bass
Steve Perry: Vocals

Django Rhinehart: Guitar
Ray Brown: Bass
Billy Cobham: Drums
John Coltrane:Sax
Charlie Parker: Sax
Thelonius Monk: Piano
Louis Armstrong: Trumpet
Ella Fitzgerald: Vocals
Sarah Vaughn: Vocals
