The "Bluesmassman" nickname comes from the fact that when Bluesbassman dresses up on the weekends as his favorite character from KISS, he starts with blue BASE.



He just spelled it wrong, which led to people like you thinking he was referencing a musical instrument, or perhaps a fish.

He's posted this information a number of times on DU. If you do a search, I'm sure you'll find it.

BTW, sorry for being so tardy in my response, I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!

Actually my hard drive crashed and I just got the system back up. :)
