Would you watch a documentary about stupidity in America?
That is, a well researched, analysis of

- Anti-intellectualism in America
- The decline of American schools
- The myopic knowledge of the Average American
- How in schools intelligence is ridiculed, not celebrated like in other countries
- How movies like "Idiocracy" are not fanciful tales, but actually predictive of America

2. Too vague and general for my tastes: I want something that is current, names names, and
exposes specific techniques

5. Why should I? I already know how stupid this country is becoming.
I see it every day in the errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar in all news reports, blogs, etc.

9. A documentary about stupidity in America
would be like a documentary about, I don't know, air. It's everywhere. You can't get away from it.

But maybe that's what might make such a documentary interesting.

17. I have already taken notice and find it depressing
Teachers are underpaid...the kids are out of control, and the administration does nothing.

My best friend is a teacher in a high school and the stories she tells.......omg.

What in the hell has happened, and to demonize teachers...give me a break!

They had my neighbor, a teachers assistant, teaching the computer class for most of the year when she knows NOTHING about computers. The administration would not pay to get someone qualified.

Where is my blood pressure medicine?

19. Idiocracy is actually a lousy film
It's a terrific joke for maybe fifteen minutes, tops.

But a full-length feature film? Nope.

And I don't feel much of an urge to watch a documentary about stupidity in America because, well, we're living in a documentary about stupidity in America.

21. no. i think it feeds rw agenda. i dont think school is in decline but the cry it being in decline
creating that very thing.

i would prefer showing how damn hard the schools are working to go beyond what we ever did and the kids working really hard to fight the ever sweeping meme how in schools intelligence is ridiculed and not celebrated.
