Some very unspectacular photos from a very spectacular place
Edited on Fri Aug-05-11 07:09 PM by DFW
My wife and come here every year. Wherever else our paths lead, every summer we always come back to
these nearly deserted shores to get away from EVERYTHING and get some peace and quiet:

From somewhere in Truro, Massachusetts, one fine evening:

brought to you by:

me and my better half (she's the pretty one):

Every year, I say the same thing: I HATE TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!
Some day, I'll get it through my thick skull that idea is not to!

1. Beautiful!
I can see why you do not want to leave that place. It reminds me of my SO's grandmother's place out east on LI. I miss it.

Those photos are spectacular! Thank you for sharing them.

2. Old Cape Cod...
Take away the tourists, malls & wall to wall traffic, the Cape is still a beautiful place.

6. Malls? Wall to wall traffic?
That's why we go all the way out to Truro. You're talking about the Upper Cape (Hyannis, etc.)

No such animals on the Outer Cape.

4. Edward Hopper's painting is the first thing I thought of when I saw 'Truro' in the OP.
Love Hopper's paintings...
