8. HypoPARAthyroidism, not hypothyroidism
Different gland! My deficiency is caused by kidney failure and is not helped by me being literally allergic to sunlight.

Kidney failure gets you great parking, but it's a HUGE pain (literally!) otherwise. :hi:

11. I thought such a high dosage would have to be prescribed --
find all this interesting as I have hypothyroid and had a kidney removed at the age of 2 due to congenital issues. Makes me wonder. :pals:

4. Calcium, iron, and a multi-vitamin.
The dr. prescribed Vit. D awhile ago, but then he said I didn't need it anymore. No idea.

5. Fish oil, vitamin E, multi, iron, vitamin C.
And sometimes calcium. But only a couple times a week. I'm an airhead and forget to take them more often.

15. For my skin ...
read online it's good for hair, nails and skin. I had some blemishes and figured I'd try it. Not much on the blemishes, but my nails seemed to be stronger. Also, I am a seasonal indoor tanner, level 1 booths, and my tan seems darker and has been staying longer (I stopped going almost 3 weeks ago and parts normally covered by clothes are still dark.

14. a store brand multi and 1000 C
I would take more but too broke.

CoQ10 or whatever it is, for heart and the glucosimide/chondroitin (spell?) for joints

those are pricey

I try to take zinc during cold season and have used St Johns Wort before but it makes my eyes a little photosensitive.

vit c does nothing and the rest seem like there's always some study that proves it was actively harmful, after they discovered that zinc (given to improve brain function) INCREASED your risk of alzheimer's, i officially gave up

if you need vit d, go outside (absent some reasonable excuse like allergy to the sun, skin cancer, etc.)

as for the rest, it seems like the chance of taking some rare chinese contaminant like melamime wipes out any good you may have done, so you may as well save your $$$

if you have a b12 deficiency, it's nothing to screw around with, you should be getting the injections by RX, the brain function you lose is NOT regained so this is not something to just speculate about ('oh i'm getting a bit silly better take some b12'-- FIND OUT if you have pernicious anemia and get the injections because it is not well absorbed, in fact a lot of supplements are not well absorbed)
