7. Well,

I guess it was July 6, 2003 because that's when DU.2 was ready. We were warned that it was going to happen that day, and that's the day it changed over and DU.1 became a read-only archive. I don't have the first post made that day, but I do know I was here, was on DU.1 and later on DU.2 all in the same day. Don't know if the switch to DU.3 will be the same, but Skinner has posted that DU.2 will become a read-only archive once DU.3 is up and running. :hi:

Skinner did a retrospective of DU's first few days around the 10th anniversary earlier this year. I imagine he may have consulted some of the earlier records to refresh his memory. Maybe if you ask in ATA, he'll tell you whether you can access the oldest archives -- and, if so, how to do it. But DU format has been changed and updated considerably over the years, and I'm not sure the earliest archives are easily available

Edit: She is/was a GA Duer. I have not had the pleasure of meeting her at a GA DU meet up event. (I have met Mike and Kathy Malloy and many other super cool GA DUers at our meet ups!) However, other GA Duers have met her. I'd love to meet her! She does not post very often. :)
