sure why they are there or why they are dead? It's like they jumped in and maybe the landing was too hard for them.

We had a similar thing when our house went up...
Some birds kept trying to build a nest in the framing!
We kept knocking it down, knowing that the room would shortly be closed in.
They finally gave up and went away.
I felt bad, but it was just no place for a nest!
