How do you like your snake?
As long as they are not on a mother****ing plane, they're ok to me.

1. I think you need to ask Michael Palin.
He did a really interesting travel show on PBS about 8/10 years ago. In one segment, he went to a rather upscale restaurant in China, where they had a snake tank a la lobster tank. After he selected his snake, a cobra, the chef prepared it to order. He said it was actually quite good -- it was just basically fried shreds at that point, served with some kind of sauce.

3. Non-lethal - no venom and no constrictors
I learned to handle non-venomous snakes as a kid. We'd find groups of ring neck snakes and play with them outside. They are gentle, little snakes, one of the easiest kind to handle.

This one is young, but maximum size is less than a foot long:

The only other snakes I have handled have been wild rat snakes. They are larger and not as sweet natured.

I prefer my snakes to be out in nature where they belong.
