New Englanders: What did you do to prepare for Irene? |
|
We're in Worcester, and it's been dark and dreary here all day, with rain off and on. I'm not very concerned--everytime we've been on hurricane watch in the past, and by the time it gets here, it's never been very powerful.
For those of you south on the Eastern Seaboard, are you guys okay? I heard that the NYC subway has been closed down early, because of the fear of flooding, but has anyone felt any extremes from Irene?
I confess--if the power does go out, I'll be eating beans for awhile!

it looks like the sustained winds are high enough to warrant leaving our unanchored mobile home.
