We have a 9-10 year old Sony DLP TV that has been very reliable since we bought it. However, when I turned it on tonight, the edges of the screen were green & purple bands and the picture seemed a bit warped. It was on all the channels, and on the DVR and the DVD player. I thought maybe it was Dish Network at first, but the other TVs in the house seem fine and a reboot of the Dish receiver changed nothing on the Sony TV. I tried unplugging the TV itself and letting it sit & rest for a while and no dice, either. (no matter that we were out all day...)
Any other ideas/suggestions?

2. I was thinking about it |

I did some online research and it seems like it could be some sort of bulb that costs about $250 or some main piece that costs $850... heck, we can get a new 65" DLP TV for like $850 if we wanted one.
