If you could transport yourself to some other culture to live out your life which culture would it |

be and why. I'd go to Tibet. I worked with Tibetans and they were the most wonderful people. Reminded me of many members of my family. I'd love to live in a culture that puts a premium on how people treat each other rather (and all creatures) than putting a premium on material goods. Plus I have lived in Mountains before and there is a 'high' that goes with that.

1. Two questions first: do I get to choose my position in that culture? And, does |
|
it have to be a real culture?

2. Good point. I'd love to live in the Star Trek universe. |

3. Good choice. I'm leaning toward The Culture myself (Iain M. Banks books) |
|
but I might be tempted by something a little more savage if I got to be the guy on the top instead of the guy on the bottom. Rome comes to mind...

5. Tahitians are a non-violent culture. That would be a nice change. |
|
As opposed to Murkah with 11,000 gun deaths a year.
And tropical beaches make it even nicer. ;)

6. Oh yes. I'd love to visit that part of the world. Don't think I could stand all of that down time |
|
though. I'm more of a worker bee.

8. Oh yeah. I'd love to spend time in Italy. I think, as a culture, |
|
it may be too extroverted for me. I'd probably stick to myself.
