at my dental checkup on Monday and then cracked a right side front tooth today. My dog was trying to steal a piece of my dinner so I put my fork in my mouth fast then bit down. Instead of biting on chicken I came down hard on a fork tine.
It chipped a piece off and cracked it up the middle. Luckily it doesn't hurt but I am going to have to call my dentist first thing tomorrow. Hope she can cap it. I am just so ticked at myself. More money that I don't want to be spending. Hoping a piece doesn't fall off in the middle of the night and cause me to choke.

1. If that doesn't make the case for eating with your fingers, then nothing will. |

I've had a few scares from biting down on forks but nothing that bad. I'm so sorry!

I stepped on my brothers head when we were kids and chipped his front tooth. Our folks didn't bother to have it fixed and his wife says it is the sexiest thing about him. I don't know what your tooth looks like, but if it doesn't hurt, the crack can't be that extensive. Sorry though, I used to give my mom's dog his share of my food first, otherwise, that big chow chow would be in my lap.

and broke off my front baby teeth. Boy we siblings were/are sure hard on eatch other. Poor parents.
That's great though that your brother's wife thinks his chipped tooth is sexy. :)
I went to the dentist this morning. Since I all ready had a filling in that tooth, it was somewhat weak all ready and she said I really did some damage to the tooth structure. They showed me the exray it was chipped in the corner and cracked in two other spots. The good news is no root canal, the bad news is it needs a cap, so I don't do even more significant damage to it in the future.
Oh well I kind of figured that is what she would say. I am just happy she didn't say root canal at this point, and that it doesn't really hurt.
They temporarily bonded it, and are going to start preparing for the cap in two weeks. I wish they could do it sooner because I am not allowed to chew on that tooth until they at least get the temporary cap on. They said hopefully they will have a cancellation before that.
Thanks!
